This version makes it much easier to organize your activities and to work in groups, and has hopefully fixed many of the bugs on the old site.

* you can become a member of a channel - members then get access to the organizing spaces of the channel.

* you can also join and even take responsibility for many parts of the project

* our channels now work as aggregators, bringing in films automatically from all around the web

* members can submit films to a channel

* there is chat, which shows everyone who is on the site at the time so you can talk to them

* there is an activity stream so you can see "who is doing what"

* we have added a flattr micro-donation option

* Meet-ups allow members to network

* the updated mission statement is hopefully easier to understand, though it does contain an absurdly over-extended metaphor
